It was weird celebrating Halloween on her own. Back home it was a pretty big thing. They’d decorate the house and her father always got into the spirit of things by donning some amazing costume to give out candy to the trick or treaters. Sage, although she was probably a bit too old for it still liked to go Trick or Treating.
And, it was also important to her mother. Although she’d managed to keep the witchery hidden from her husband she always made sure to mark the night in a befitting manner. She would take Sage, when she was younger she thought it was a fun secret something special, but as she got older she realised just how important it was…

My contribution to a Halloween/Samharin event for the modern fantasy roleplay group ‘Toradh Ireland’ This is my character Sage trying to keep the Halloween spirit going by carving a pumpkin. Murphy the cat isn’t very impressed.
